Aldiwan Center celebrates its 11th anniversary with a free scholarship
Full tuition-waiver Arabic study scholarship for corporations’ staff in Egypt
Added: 08/30/2008 - Mohamed Esmat Fawzi Mohamed Farag

Following its successful Summer Intensive Program organized with Duke University (USA) in August, Aldiwan Center Garden City is kicking off its new genuine "Extensive Program" this month, with a special Arabic study scholarship for beginner staff nominated from businesses, embassies, and other organizations and companies operating in Egypt.

The Arabic language certificate-granting institute Aldiwan Center celebrates its 11th anniversary this month by offering a newly designed Arabic study program. The new "Extensive Program" is targeting busy foreign executives and international students in Egypt. "We designed this program to respond to the growing needs of many foreign corporate staff and busy international students in Egypt, who either cannot afford the course load requirements or even the tuition of the regular and intensive programs we normally have" Mr. Jamal Mostafa, general manager of Aldiwan Center Garden City said.

Reducing the course load from 50 to 30 hours a month, and the attendance requirements from five to three days a week will make it easier for busy students to attend Arabic courses without putting burden on work, study, or personal busy schedules. "Students receive same course hours, but divided on two-month length, instead of one" Mr. Mostafa said.

Aldiwan Center is one of the very few institutes in Egypt recently approved by Fulbright Program (USA) for giving study abroad courses to grantee students. That reflects the positive feedback Aldiwan Center received over past years. Genene Salman, a previous student from USA testified in a letter to Southern California InFocus Magazine 2006, where she works as a staff writer, that she "have found Al-Diwan’s method of teaching to be more effective than the university setting".

"Arabic for Diplomacy, Politics, and Law", "The Combined Program of Standard and Egyptian Arabic", "Business Arabic" are some of the innovative programs Aldiwan Center recently created and implemented to fill a gap in traditional Arabic language training market.

Aldiwan Center is expanding its offerings this year with a newly designed extensive part-time study program. A full tuition-waiver scholarship for foreign staff of businesses and organizations in Egypt is given to beginners starting September 2008. This is the newest in a series of innovative course s and programs by which Aldiwan Center is making a difference in the foreign language market in Egypt and the Arab World.
