Since August 2008, Denmark’s KFX10 and OMXC index increased marginally by 2.6% and 2.3%, respectively, as the economy grew 0.6 % in the second quarter regaining slight momentum after a decline of 0.8% and 0.2%, in first quarter of 2008 and last quarter of 2007, respectively. The downturn in household consumption coupled with high unemployment rate has led to a decline in economic growth. However, the economy of Denmark in itself is still very strong, which will result in some recovery in the markets in the near future.
