Free2Luv® is bringing a cirque to Los Angeles
on Saturday, November 3rd for an anti-bullying benefit performance for the
entire family to support underserved youth at the historic Regent
Theater.
What happens when young professional cirque
artists collide with powerful music and impactful storytelling? A TOUR DE FORCE
In this musical cirque spectacle, the audience
will embark on a magical journey of self-discovery. Through acrobatics,
contortion, high flying aerial, and trapeze act, self-doubt and
pain turn into power and unstoppable strength.
Get ready to be moved, inspired, and engaged by
captivating performances from Troupe Du Cirque, an ensemble cast of young
artists who have been seen on television and graced some of the world’s largest
stages. The day’s festivities will be red carpet ready hosted by celebrity
guests, performers, ambassadors, and advocates to be announced. There will be
interactive stations, silent auction and a VIP experience with private seating.
The day’s festivities
will be hosted by special guest, Free2Luv Ambassador, and actor, Jason Drucker, star of
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul and the highly anticipated Transformers
spin-off, BumbleBee.
Radiant spirits and cheerful voices are often
overcome by the deafening noise and tortuous realities of bullying. The
bullying epidemic continues to plague our youth with over 160,000 students
staying home from school every day due to bullying and teen suicide is now a
leading cause of death among youth ages 12 -18. "When youth feel supported,
embraced and empowered to be their authentic selves, we are able to create real
change. We’re proud to be a resource center for youth to start conversations,
build confidence and become difference makers in their communities," continues
Sandis.
Free2Luv®, an award-winning youth empowerment
nonprofit, believes the solution lies in self-empowerment and they utilize the
arts, both visual and performing, to uplift, engage and heal youth. "The
purpose of our storytelling is to let our youth know that even when they are
struggling, they are not alone. We encourage them to reach out in times of
darkness. There is no weakness in asking for help. In fact, it’s a sign of
strength. This performance is dedicated to our Honorary Youth Advocate, Blaine
who at 10 years old felt the only answer was ending his life. With messages and
performances like this, if we can reach one child struggling, we know it can be
life-changing," says Tonya Sandis, Founder of Free2Luv.
Proceeds raised from UNSTOPPABLE: TOUR DE FORCE
will support Free2Luv’s music and art empowerment initiatives designed to
create a kinder, braver, more loving world for underserved youth. TOUR DE FORCE
will be staged at The Regent DTLA, 448 S Main St. Los Angeles, CA 90013. You
