Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is the technology that allows anyone today to configure computer software, or a "robot" to emulate and integrate the actions of a human interacting within digital systems to execute a business process. RPA robots utilize the user interface to capture data and manipulate applications just like humans do. They interpret, trigger responses and communicate with other systems in order to perform on a vast variety of repetitive tasks. Only substantially better: an RPA software robot never sleeps, makes zero mistakes and costs a lot less than an employee.
Thousands of jobs are created with advent of this new technology in the field of software engineering. The applications of RPA are diverse and cover almost every aspect of business. The RPA has a great potential to solve repetitive task and avoid human intervention.
KLE Technological University has taken initiative to introduce RPA course as a mandatory course in MCA program in order to enable the students to obtain gainful employment in IT companies engaged the field of RPA. In this direction, the leading RPA Company UiPath Inc., New York, USA, has recognized KLE Technological University, Hubballi, as their first academic alliance partner in Karnataka state for collaboration on growing the RPA knowledge ecosystem. To this effect, the MoU is signed between KLE Technological University and UiPath by Dr. Ashok Shettar, Vice Chancellor, KLE Tech and Mr. Rajesh R Nambiar, Director- UiPath, Academic Alliance Program on 10thApril 2019. Prof. B.L. Desai, Registrar, KLE Tech, Dr. P R Patil, Head, MCA Dept. Dr. P.S. Hiremath, Professor and other staff members were present on the occasion.
