Little Rock, AR (Dec. 15, 2011) – The Design Group, Arkansas’s new leader in multicultural communications, has strengthened its commitment to promoting and understanding Hispanic markets. The full-service, multicultural communications firm has announced its selection as the Agency of Record for the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 750 in Little Rock, Arkansas. The agency will work to increase awareness about LULAC and its agenda through long-term strategic planning.
LULAC is the oldest and largest Hispanic membership organization in the U.S. It advances the economic attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs. The organization involves and serves all Hispanic nationality groups. LULAC Council 750 is one of 900 LULAC councils nationwide, and it is one of the oldest councils in the state. The council serves the growing Hispanic population of central Arkansas.
"We are very pleased to join hands with The Design Group in furthering not only the goals of LULAC, but in building the capability to dialogue with all Arkansans about the role of Hispanics in the growth of the state," said Dr. Terry Trevino-Richard, president of LULAC Council 750.
Manny Sepulveda, director of Hispanic markets for The Design Group, said this represents a mutually beneficial relationship for both LULAC and The Design Group.
"LULAC is one of the leading organizations advocating for Hispanics in Arkansas. The Design Group is the leading Hispanic marketing agency in Arkansas," said Sepulveda. "This partnership will create the synergy that was missing to give Hispanics a full voice in expressing their contributions to the future of Arkansas."
